My English Quarters

Grammar has a reputation for being strict and fussy. However, as a 5-star resume writer, editor, proofreader, and lecturer in English composition with an M.A. and a B.A. in English, I think grammar should be clear, practical, and even enjoyable. This blog discusses English grammar, writing rules, and common mistakes with humor, real-world examples, and professional insight. whether you're updating your resume, improving your writing, or trying to sound more confident on the page.

I call this blog My English Quarters because 10 years ago, I discovered that I am British (English) on both sides, I write from "my [head]quarters," and I focus on the English language. Please join me on, I hope, an educational and humorous approach to everyone's favorite subject: English grammar.*

*Please Note: One should avoid "generalizing" about how everyone loves English grammar and composition, but I've conducted a survey of everyone in the world, and I discovered that every single person on earth actually does.
