Founder of BeltStyles, LLC, in 2013, Hallie Belt has been a 5-star resume writer for 13 years and an advertising agency editor / proofreader for 20+ years. Based in Chicago’s Gold Coast, she offers one-on-one virtual writing, editing, and proofreading services.
As a resume writer collaborating directly with her clients, Hallie produces SEO-friendly, ATS-optimized resumes; succinct LinkedIn profiles; and attention-getting cover letters; she also provides customers with valuable job-search strategies for their job search.
Equipped with an M.A. and a B.A. in English literature, Hallie has also been an ad agency editor / proofreader. In this role, she assures the high quality of websites, emails, PPT presentations, marketing materials, social media posts, transcripts, voice-over copy, storyboards, and much more.
Additionally, Hallie was an adjunct lecturer in English composition for 15 years at Columbia College, Roosevelt University, Harold Washington College, and Austin Community College.

- Hallie has traveled to 30+ countries and taught English for 4.5 years in Japan, Switzerland, and Spain.
- In 2016, through CETUSA, she hosted an 18-year-old student from Spain. They visit each other every year.
- In addition to editing 10 books by other authors, Hallie published her first book on Amazon: The Search for Order: T.S. Eliot's Use of Music and Musical Form.
- Equipped with a background in music, she auditioned for America's Got Talent.
